Penny Hardaway: Memphis basketball is working to add a game after Ole Miss cancellation
One of Memphis' non-conference basketball games has been canceled even before the season has begun.
Ole Miss announced Monday it is pausing all team activities through Dec. 7, due to positive COVID-19 tests and contact tracing within its program.
That means the Tigers' road game against the Rebels, originally set for Dec. 5, has been called off.
Memphis coach Penny Hardaway said Tuesday the program is working to replace the Ole Miss game.
"We're on that right now," he told reporters via Zoom. "We're on top of that, trying to get a team to replace the Ole Miss game so we can have a 比特币合约交易地址_合约交home game."
Memphis is set to face Saint Mary's at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the season opener at the Crossover Classic in South Dakota. The Tigers are also scheduled to play games Thursday and Friday in the tournament.
